While the tiny screening rooms are often overcrowded, the location's great, close to both Lincoln Center and the Sony Lincoln Square theaters (in case you feel like catching "Big Momma's House" after seeing...

Normally I review places I like. This one, however, was more of a sad disappointment. Don't get me wrong, their choice in movies is great. If it's at this theater, it must be good, or at least…

For me, the best time to visit this theater is during the day, if I don't have any work or obligations. Of course, we all know what a rarity that is, but it's so nice to not compete with the Saturday…

I have read bad things about the staff at this theater but ran across it first hand when I answered a cell phone call in the lobby (not the theater). Although by the time I was accosted by the staff and even though I was indicating I was about to hang up, I was still being yelled at "you must get off the phone now!" I felt if I didn't hang up immediately I was ready to be physically accosted. If the theater wants a policy of no cell phone use in the lobby, I suppose that is their right-although it is an absurd policy-however I was clearly not disturbing anyone. The phone call was 95% me listening anyway. To treat me like a criminal and that my actions were placing the free world at risk rather than simply allow me to end the call and ask in the future that I respect their policy was absurd. When I asked to speak to manager I was escorted around the corner and found an equally rude individual. When I asked for his name he told me he was "Aleem' and asked sarcastically "should I be worried about my job.? He then followed us out the movie theater as we left, perhaps using a cell phone 100 ft from this movie theater is also forbidden. At any rate, we will not be returning to this movie theater-apparently this staff feels that since the theater shows "prestigous" films it gives them the right to treat patrons like garbage. This along with the lousy concessions, roaches in the bathroom, and tiny seats should make this a movie theater that is to be avoided.

They play movies that I want to see. Small screens, dingy candy/soda stand, cash-only box office. Whatever. You're here for the movies not found on mainstream Manhattan screens. They cater to an older,…
